We prove Lp(Rn), 1 < p < ∞, bounds for Hf(x) = p.v. ∫ ∞ −∞ f(x1 −R1(t), . . . , xn −Rn(t)) dt/t and Mf(x) = sup h>0 1 h ∫ h 0 |f(x1 −R1(t), . . . , xn −Rn(t))| dt where Rj(t) = Pj(t)/Qj(t), j = 1, 2, . . . , n, are rational functions. Our bounds depend only on the degrees of the polynomials Pj , Qj and, in particular, they do not depend on the coefficients of these polynomials.
